Shri Vyadeshwar, Guhagar(Dist. Ratnagiri) and Shri.Gopalkrishna are Kul daivatas
and Shri Karanjeswridevi, Govalkot, Chiplun (Dist. Ratnagiri) is Kul Devi of all
Gole -Chitpavan Kokanastha Brahin mandali.
A book "Gole Kulvritant", was published long back, in 1937. Shri Laxman
Govind Gole (4/14) has one of this book.Thereafter there seems to be no
further edition.
Shri. Gangadhar, Sadashiv, Govind and Viththal, (of Shakha 4/Pidhi 7 i.e. (
4/7)), sons of Shri.Moreshwar Gopal Gole (4/6) were cousine brothers of
wllknown Nanasaheb Peshawe (Shri. Balaji Bajirao Bhat). Having carried out
excellent works for Maratha regime, these four brothers were granted INAMDARI
of Mardhe (Tal. and Dist. Satara),15 km from Satara on Satara-Pune NH-4. It is
located on East bank (left bank)of Shri. Krishna River. This is somewhen in 1750
's. Apart from Mardhe, Jihe, Angapur etc. were also given to Gole family.
The Inamdari was continued through elder sons (Pidhi) and subsequently vested in
on Shri. Chintaman Narayan Gole (Shakha 4/Pidhi 11)(4/11) (1838 - 1903) and
continued furthur till India became independent.
Had the Inamdari be continued (4/16) Shri. Parth Sunil Gole, Birth date:
04-05-2007, would have been the next Inamdar.
From (4/11), Late Chintaman Narayan Gole, downwards, so far, the most and Top
Ranked person is (4/13) Late Shri. Chintaman Vithhal Gole(1921-1981), Pune.
After Engg. Graduation form Pune, he joined Central Water Power Commission,
Khadakwasala,Pune. He also postgrduated in Denmark. He rose to the highest Rank
of viz. Director there, who maintained 8-10 Chief Engineers under him. He very
sucessfully prepared Models of prosed Dams, Ports, Bridges etc. tested and
examined them thoroughly,and finally advised the best of the designs to the
Govt. of India and others. The major Projects included Hirakud Dam,JNPT(Nhava
Sheva Port), Navi Mumabi,Mangalore Port, Kandala Port and numerous others. He
was then still furthur promoted as the Member of CWP Commission at New
Delhi. He published a large number of Research Papers in National and
International Magazines, and were greatly apprecated by whole of the World. He
was thus a very valuable Asset to India. Hats off to him.
